Over 20 years ago a man of God showed me a scripture:
The anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27
The man of God said, “before you read God’s Word ask Him to teach you and then plant the Word in your heart by meditating on it. When questions arise ask God to illuminate the scripture for you and believe that He will answer you.”
He showed me his Bible and how he sometimes drew a candle in the margin by scriptures that he didn’t understand and asked God to iluminate them. Then he told me how God speaks to him and answers all His questions.
He said, “you’ve received the anointing, and Now God Himself will teach you as His child!”
This was something no one had ever shown me before…
I had never even considered the fact that God would teach me Himself…
or speak to me…
I determined at that moment that I would seek the LORD whole heartedly until He spoke to me and taught me everything He wanted me to know, everything I wanted to know and answered all my questions, which were not a few…
It is as Christ Jesus said, “The Holy Ghost shall teach you all things.” John 14:26
Why do we «dress up» for church? Why does the pastor preach a sermon each week?
True. No man is needed to teach the things of God, thats the work of the Holy Spirit. He will lead you into all truth.
