His Faith

Faith is a Place!

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates… 2 Corinthians 13:5

Now if Jesus Christ is in you then you are “in the faith.” For God has given to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3) according to the measure of the gift of Christ (Ephesians 4:7).

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith… Philippians 3:9

Having tried to work up my own faith for various things in the past and failed; this revelation came as much needed relief to me. When your own faith fails it often causes bad thinking processes.

For example: You’ve been troubled with sickness or disease and having worked up your own faith to the point where you believe that you have enough faith to be healed you call for the elders of the church and have them pray for you or go forward to the prayer line in church and guess what? Nothing happens!!! This is usually when some helpful brother informs you that “you must not have enough faith” or “there must be sin in your life”, triggering a destructive self-condemning reaction. Don’t worry your own faith will always fail, that’s why its best to abandon your own faith and accept Christ’s!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me… Galatians 2:20

When you start living your life by “the faith of the Son of God” you’ll enter into his rest.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his… Hebrews 4: 9-10

It seems plain to me now! When you cease from your own “works” and let Christ and God go to work for you, you will enter into His rest — peace…The just shall live by His faith! Habukkuk 2:4

  1. Finally! This makes sense!

Years ago, my Mother was in severe, chronic pain. She was attending a church – she was put in a “prayer chain”, and was told by the preacher she would be healed. Months passed, yet she only got worse. When she went back to that preacher, she was told the same things! Either she did not have faith, or there was evil in her life. She was CRUSHED and quit going to church for years and years. It’s nice to know she was not alone. It was NOT the faith that failed her, it was defective doctrine.

  2. Hi,
i feel that this is right, but in my mind i have trouble with it. How many times Jesus said YOUR faith has healed/helped you!
    My own faith!

And then he says : have faith in God.

My wife having cancer was in a prayer line two years ago and still not be healed even a legion of sisters and brothers are praying for her.

Could you bring an audio message about that?
    Greetings
    Karl
