It is interesting to note that homosexuality is one of the first things God addresses in His letters to the churches: Romans 1:21-31
Few have Biblical Worldview
The research indicated that everyone has a world view, but relatively few people have a Biblical Worldview – even among devoutly religious people. The survey discovered that only 19% of born again Christians have such a perspective on life. The research data showed that one pattern emerged loud and clear: young adults rarely possess a Biblical Worldview. The current study found that less than one-half of one percent of adults in the Mosaic generation – i.e., those aged 18 to 23 – have a Biblical Worldview, compared to about nine out of every hundred older adults…
Biblical Worldview?
For the purposes of the survey, a “Biblical Worldview” was defined as believing that absolute moral truth exists and such truth is defined by the Bible; the Bible is totally accurate in all of the principles it teaches; Satan is considered to be a real being or force, not merely symbolic; a person cannot earn their way into Heaven by trying to be good or do good works; a Christian has a responsibility to share their faith in Christ with other people; Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth; and God is the all-knowing, all-powerful creator of the world who still rules the universe today. In the research, anyone who held all of those beliefs was said to have a Biblical Worldview.
Forty-Five Percent Born Again?
While 80% of Americans say they are Christian, 45% call themselves “Born Again Christians” according to Barna Group, Ventura, California, USA …Butt even survey author George Barna agrees that not all born again Christians are bearing fruit. What we’re finding is that there is still a lot of superficiality related to the fact that a lot of people have recognized that the spiritual dimension of their life is important. Barna finds that 36-percent of Americans are what he calls NOTIONAL CHRISTIANS, they describe themselves as Christians but do not meet the born again definition.
