Come to The Table

Our Father, Paul, all the Family of God, and The Elect Angels, c/o Jesus Christ!

Greetings Father! How wonderful it is, to be taught of You, and to accept Your Invitation to “Come and Dine”… Somehow the 23rd Psalm comes to our hearts and minds; for it is You who has prepared “The Table” before us in the presence of our enemies. We also realize we must be washed and properly dressed to partake of this Banquet.

In Your great love and wisdom, You sent a man (John the Baptist), to lead us into that washing, and not only to tell us, but to perform it!! He even baptized Jesus. Jesus’ own words in Matthew 3:15 tell us why… “Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.” It is with great joy and expectation that we are preparing ourselves to come to “The Table”. Do for us, as David asked, in Psalm 51:7, to be purged and washed by You. We’ve learned that purging is for the Inner Man… David knew!

So Beloved Father, before we Come to the Table, we know we too must “fulfill all righteousness” by being washed, and dressed by You, begotten of Paul and espoused to “One Husband”, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We are here at “The Water” to present ourselves a “Living Sacrifice”, and to be baptized into “the likeness of Christ’s death.” Our Old Man will be drowned… just as the enemies of Israel were drowned in the Red Sea!

We were “dead in our sins and trespasses”, but now, we are “Alive in You, The Word, and the Holy Ghost.” Now we have been “Planted” in the likeness of his death, and have been “Raised” in the likeness of his resurrection! Luke 20:36 gives us such a plain understanding of this as Jesus says, “Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.” Now, we are equal unto the angels! Now we are the children of God!! Now we are the children of the resurrection!!!

Baptism is “The Only Way” this comes to us.

We are washed: Cleansed and Sanctified by “The Washing of The Water by The Word”, and this not of ourselves. We are dressed: by putting on Christ, Our Robe of Righteousness; this also is from You, and of You (of God are we in Christ)!!! We humbly, and gratefully, come to dine with You, and are learning to eat and drink as Jesus said, “my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed, for I am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven.”

Ezekiel 16:1-15 shows us Your great love for even the children of wrath; how much more for US!!!
