Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Grace is so much more than just unmerited favor and forgiveness of sins! “For whom He did foreknow…them He called (Romans 8:29-30).” God calls us and draws us to Jesus Christ (John 6:44), we hear and respond, for every man that has heard and learned of the Father will come unto Him. Grace is an inborn knowledge of God’s voice. We recognize it when we hear it (John 9:1-5)! How? That is what makes grace so amazing… Eternal love did not start here on earth (God is love), but it reaches us here and gives us an understanding (1 John 5:20) beyond ourselves, then reaches back to God our Father through Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 3:19 tells us Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me. Grace is our Father calling us and it entails the price He paid for us, the safety He has promised us and the inheritance He has given us. Grace is God’s love and power in action on our behalf. Answering His call is to take our first step. To hear His call and answer because by the grace of God we know it’s our Father! Love requires a response in kind if it is to grow… Our response is “Father, here am I”
