The Body of Christ

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

Our Father’s gifts are good and perfect, and all His gifts are for one purpose:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13

This simply means means we are born of God, we are His children, and we shall all be taught of God: even as Jesus was taught of God, and said, “I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things” John 8:28. Now as we follow in Jesus’ steps and speak the things our Father has taught us, we hope to stir up the gifts within you and encourage you to action…

  1. Hi,
the problem with the gift is the character you have. You could have a lot of gifts but due to your weak character ( fruits of the spirit and gifts – what are the dependencies?) the gifts are hold down they cannot get mature.

By the way i am not a native speaker but i love the NLT! So if you post scriptures and if you would like too please post some in NLT (New Living Translation) too.

    Greetings

  2. Hi Ministermark,

It seems that God not only made the church totally dependent on him, in the ability of the spirtual walk but also very dependent on one another. So the spritual church is not a one man show at all it’s a bringing together, a concentration of gifts, a meeting of gifts given by the Holy Spirit.
